My friends are setting me up on 20 blind dates. I am going to review each of these dates online on this blog.
The background to my blog is that I have had boyfriends in the past but I feel like I never want one again. It's not that I had a terrible experience, but just that I am very happy single (happier than I have ever been in a relationship) and I cannot picture myself in a couple anymore.
A lot of my friends think that this is sad and have tried to suggest that I am 'afraid of intimacy'. They have tried to bring out my romantic side by setting me up. In the past I have always said no.
I had a really great holiday in Vietnam and Hong Kong earlier in the year. We travelled down the varied coast line, hiked mountains, swam in the sea, partied in overcrowded cities, and over all we had a cracking time. However, on the flight home I knew that I would be coming back to a 9-5 unfulfilling job and a comparatively boring reality. When I mentioned this to my travel companion she said that she will find me a man to spice things up. I replied that everyone says that to me! She said let everyone set you up then. I sarcastically said yea and then write a blog about it! To which she replied, "I dare you."
And that is how I ended up on a Blind Date Marathon.
All my dates know that they are going to be blogged about and rated. I guess what's in it for them is a bit of fun and some constructive criticism.
As part of this exercise, I am trying to ignore my 'type' and date whoever is suggested to me by my friends. It's good to be open minded.... but then I am apparently 'afraid of intimacy' so I will most likely reject absolutely everyone!
Happy Reading

Why are you still single? How to answer the question
Best places to go on a date - London
I am not sure about what I wanted to get out of the blind dating marathon. Something between sharing a good night out and meeting someone who will turn my head, give me butterflies and continue to intrigue me? I was completely opposed to dating in the months, almost years, before I started this blog. Now I am a lot more open to dating and I actually find it really good fun. I think that that is probably a good thing!
